The Center for Health Research Studies (CHRS) at the Saudi Health Council believes in the importance of high-quality data in empowering the national research development agenda and the research community, therefore it seeks to cultivate an open research data environment, believing that sharing research data accelerates science by facilitating collaborative relationships, scientific transparency and reproducibility. NHRSP encourages scientific research and support researchers to bridge knowledge gaps and generate new research ideas.
The CHRS is mandated to conduct health researches and studies that supports the decision-making process in the Saudi Health Council. CHRS had been established in 2012, based on the Council of Ministers decree number (11) in 12/01/1434H, with the following mandates as per the Council of Ministers decree number (86) in 28/01/1445H (2023):

Conducting health research and studies to support the decision-making process at the Saudi Health Council

Following up the health research funding procedures in the Saudi Health Council, according to the related regulations.

Following up the research projects implementation that are funded by the Saudi Health Council

Diversifying the funding sources for health research and studies in the Saudi Health Council

Collecting, preparing, managing, and sharing related data for the purpose of conducting health research and studies in the Saudi Health Council

Attracting skilled public health and health policies researchers to the Saudi Health Council

Building research partnerships with governmental and private sectors, aiming to enhance the efficiency and improvement of Saudi Health Council research contribution in the area of decision-making research, according to the related regulations.

Publishing periodic publications specialized in health research, holding conferences and seminars in the field of health research and studies, and participate in conferences inside and outside Saudi Arabia
